Terms of Service

The agreement for using 10MB: your content stays yours, the service is free and as-is, and leaving is one click.

01 The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and 10 Minute Blocks, Texas, United States ("we", "us") for your use of 10 Minute Blocks — the apps on iOS, Android, macOS and the web, and this website. By creating an account or using 10MB, you accept them.

How we handle your data is covered by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Last updated: 14 August 2026.

02 Your account

  • You must be at least 13 to use 10MB.
  • One person per account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • Give us an email address that reaches you. It is how we send a password reset, and how we would tell you about a change that affects you.
  • If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms govern that sign-in; ours govern what happens afterwards.

03 Your content is yours

You own everything you put into 10MB — your blocks, categories, tags, habits, ratings and notes. We claim no ownership of any of it.

You give us only the permission we need to operate the service for you: to store your content, sync it between your devices, compute your summaries and insights from it, and send the relevant parts to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy so features you invoke can work. That permission exists to run 10MB and for nothing else — not to publish your content, not to sell it, not to train models on it — and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

You can export everything at any time, in open formats, from Settings → Data. Nothing about leaving is designed to be difficult.

04 Acceptable use

10MB is a personal time tracker, and the list of things we ask you not to do is short:

  • Don't try to access anyone else's account or data, or probe our systems for weaknesses. (If you find one, please tell us — 10minuteblockapp@gmail.com.)
  • Don't use 10MB to break the law, or to store content that is unlawful.
  • Don't hammer the service — automated bulk requests, scraping, or anything that degrades it for other people.
  • Don't resell 10MB or present it as your own product.
  • Don't use it to surveil someone else. It is built for a person to understand their own time.

05 AI features

Reflect, Wrapped and the sign-up goal suggestions use a third-party language model. Two things follow from that, and both matter:

  • Output can be wrong. A generated recap or answer is an interpretation of your data, not a record of it. Your blocks are the record. Don't rely on an AI answer for anything consequential without checking the underlying numbers, which are always visible to you.
  • It is not advice. Nothing 10MB generates is medical, psychological, financial, legal or professional advice, and it must not be used as a substitute for any of those.

What is sent, to whom, and how long it is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy §04.

06 Free, and provided as-is

10MB is free. There is no subscription, no advertising, and no paid tier today. If that ever changes, existing users will be told first and in plain language, well before anything takes effect — and your existing data will never be held behind a new paywall.

Because it is free and small, be clear-eyed about what that buys: there is no uptime guarantee, no support-response guarantee, and no promise that any particular feature will keep existing. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of 10MB. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a window to export your data before anything is deleted.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Keep your own copy

10MB is your record of your own life, and no service is immune to failure. Export from Settings → Data now and then. It takes one click and it is yours forever.

07 Ending it

You can leave whenever you like. Delete your account in Settings → Data. That erases your content from the live service immediately — export first if you want a copy. If you change your mind, write to us within 7 days and we will try to recover it from a backup; after that it is gone for good. The Privacy Policy explains what recovery involves.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks §04, or where we are required to by law. Except where the law or an ongoing abuse investigation prevents it, we will tell you and give you a chance to export your data first.

08 Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost or corrupted data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to 10MB is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free service, is nothing) or US$50.

Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be removed. Consumer-protection laws in your country may give you guarantees that no contract can sign away — including, in the UK/EEA and elsewhere, rights around services being provided with reasonable care and skill — and this section does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

09 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes are subject to the courts of the State of Texas. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.

Before anything formal, please email 10minuteblockapp@gmail.com. Nearly everything is quicker to fix than to litigate.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect rather than quietly editing this page, and continuing to use 10MB after that means you accept the new version. If you don't, you can export your data and delete your account — and that remains true at any time, for any reason.
